Integration & API Management, Tableau & Analytics

Overview

Manufacturing and distribution organizations operate across layered sales channels, relying on both primary sales data in Salesforce and secondary sales data in Tally ERP. When these systems remain siloed, teams are forced into manual report consolidation—with no access to real-time performance data. This use case presents Halsa's solution for unifying sales and distribution analytics by integrating primary and secondary data sources into a single Tableau environment, enabling unified distributor dashboards and real-time performance oversight.

The Challenge

Sales and distribution operations faced the following critical pain points:

  • Data Silos Between Salesforce and Tally ERP: Primary sales data in Salesforce and secondary sales data in Tally ERP existed in completely separate systems, preventing any consolidated view of distributor or channel performance.
  • Manual Report Consolidation: Without integration, teams were required to manually consolidate reports from both platforms—a time-consuming process that introduced delays and the risk of errors.
  • No Real-Time Insights: The siloed, manual approach meant that decision-makers had no access to real-time performance insights, limiting the organization's ability to respond quickly to sales and distribution trends.

Our Solution

Halsa integrated primary (Salesforce) and secondary (Tally) data in Tableau to create unified distributor dashboards, built on Integration & API Management and Tableau & Analytics.

  • Integration of Primary and Secondary Sales Data: Primary sales data from Salesforce and secondary sales data from Tally ERP were integrated using API management, bringing both data sources together into a single unified data layer.
  • Unified Distributor Dashboards in Tableau: The integrated data was surfaced through Tableau dashboards, giving distributor teams and leadership a single, centralized view of sales and distribution performance across both channels.
  • Real-Time Performance Tracking: The Tableau environment enabled real-time tracking of performance metrics, replacing the manual consolidation process and delivering up-to-date insights to stakeholders.

The Outcome

The unified sales and distribution analytics implementation delivered the following outcomes:

  • Single source of truth.
  • Real-time performance tracking.
  • Eliminated manual consolidation.

Conclusion

By integrating Salesforce and Tally ERP data within Tableau through Integration & API Management, Halsa delivered a unified analytics environment for sales and distribution teams. The solution established a single source of truth, enabled real-time performance tracking, and fully eliminated the manual consolidation process, demonstrating the value of connected data platforms in manufacturing and distribution operations.
